President Molly Pachan, Ph.D.

Dr. Pachan obtained her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Loyola University Chicago, Child and Family track, and completed her predoctoral internship at Cambridge Health Alliance - Harvard Medical School in 2011.  She has taught graduate and undergraduate courses in psychology at Loyola University Chicago, the Illinois Institute of Technology, and The Chicago School of Professional Psychology.  She is currently the executive director of Sankofa Psychological Services, a private practice mental health clinic in Chicago.  She is also the owner and director of Chicago Family Mediation, specializing in divorce and family mediation for couples and families with at least one member affected by mental health issues.  She has been a member of Forensic Forum Chicago since 2014. 

 

 


Treasurer Annette Fernholz, J.D.

Licensed as an attorney in 1997, Annette Fernholz opened her own firm in 2003. Her office is focused on the resolution of complex family law-related matters and family law appeals.  Her practice includes mediation, collaborative law and litigation. She is appointed by the court to represent minor children. She has spoken to bar associations and published several articles on topics relevant to Illinois family law.

Annette joined the Forensic Forum in 2008 and has subsequently held executive offices in the organization. In addition to the Forensic Forum, Annette is a member of the Appellate Lawyers Association, Illinois State Bar Association and Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.

Helene M. Snyder is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and has a background in both private practice and public interest lawSince 1992, Ms. Snyder has taught courses on social work and the law, including mental health law, at Loyola University Chicago and the University of Chicago.  

Ms. Snyder is immediate past Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Legislative Committee, past Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Domestic Relations Committee, past Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Task Force on the revision of Illinois family law, immediate past President of the Family Defense Center, and current President of the Forensic Forum.  Ms. Snyder also serves on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Bar Association.  Ms. Snyder has previously served as Executive Vice-President of the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago, President of the Illinois Task Force on Child Support, and a board member of the Women’s Board of the Heartland Alliance.  She has been a member of the Forensic forum since 2011.
