Dear Forensic Forum Chicago Members,

Over the past decades, Forensic Forum Chicago has provided excellent programming and services to our members and the greater legal and mental health communities.  Our members have developed relationships to consult each other for advice and counsel.  You have truly elevated the quality of practice in our fields through your collaboration and scholarship.

Recently, FFC has faced challenges in keeping momentum for our group.  Many in our membership have retired and moved on from practice.  It has been difficult to recruit leaders with enough time to commit to our organizational needs, as the multidisciplinary field has grown and more local organizations are engaging in similar topics.

Taking these factors as well as your input into consideration, the Executive Committee has reached the conclusion that Forensic Forum Chicago can no longer function as an independent organization.  After exploring many options, we determined that the best course of action is to put our resources, membership, and energy towards the Illinois chapter of the Association for Family and Conciliatory Courts.  President Beth McCormack and members of the AFCC Board of Directors welcome FFC members with open arms.

On November 15, we held our final FFC dinner seminar.  Many of you attended our wonderful panel including Hon. Grace Dickler, Dorothy Johnson, J.D., Gail Petrich, J.D., Psy.D., and myself.  Thank you for joining us for this evening of collegial discussion and a trip down memory lane.

We hope that you all join us in becoming involved in AFCC.  To join AFCC Illinois, please follow the links to join the national and local organizations.  You must join both national and state to be involved in Illinois activities.

In summary, the Executive Committee thanks all FFC members and Core Group members for your participation in this groundbreaking multi-disciplinary organization.  It has been an honor to serve as your president.  I look forward to continuing our journey together.

 Gratefully yours,

Molly Pachan, Ph.D.
